Quick Tidbit

I've been busy and away from Real writing for a few days, but I'm about to get going again. Until then here are a few thoughts.

- Aren't you glad you are not a Colorado fan! Okay, I just threw this one in here because I took an idea from an earlier post and made a visual representation. The truth still stands.

- The Players. Our roster is probably going to be set in its current form on opening day and I really like it. If our starting line up ends up being Rimando, Joy, Olave, Mantilla, Wingert, Dema, Beckerman, Morales, Cordoba, Deuchar, and Yura that makes it so only Nick Rimando carries over from the opening starter's roster in 2007. That is pretty crazy.

- The Supporter Groups. Here is to hoping that with on field success that our supporter clubs can begin to establish themselves as tops in the league...it is a necessity in this sport. I'd much rather our fans, rather than Samba Gringa, created a European type atmosphere.

- Change. It is hard to argue that this team isn't completley different than anything we have ever seen take the pitch wearing the blue, red, and gold. Realslfan, slcboz, and a few others on BigSoccer that have made it to practice have said that it has been war watching players battle each other for a spot on the field. That is great, while the results are pending...there is definitely a change in the RSL air.

- How cool is it that Utah is one of only a handful of states that have 1st division professional soccer in the United States? It is awesome.
