Well after running my mouth (fingers) last week about how the very worst that could happen to RSL would be a tie I am here to fulfill my promise of praising TFC for showing me that RSL still has a long way to go. Yes the second half was controlled by Salt Lake, but after the first half it is still an embarrassing game top to bottom.
Why can't we decide how to go at a team on the road? Chivas and TFC are painful examples of strategies gone wrong. To play 11 guys at defense because of a loud crowd will not settle the excitement, but increase it as the home team will have the momentum of possession and apparent control of the game.
How much better TFC is this season remains to be seen, they've had games already that point in both directions, but we now know that we can't be quite as comfortable in our improvement as we may have liked.
Can we figure out how to play DCU in DC? We'll find out.
Beat down in Canuckland.
