The ever elusive corner...

Things have been very busy at the Scads' household as of late which is why this site has been painfully neglected, but it would be sacrilege not to post after the monumental result vs. Columbus on Saturday night.

While I am in the same mindset as Kyle Beckerman who said "It is great that we got there, but the main thing is getting three points tonight. Right now is not the most important time to be in first place. That is going to be at the end of the year.", it is undeniable what this means to us as fans. I actually sit down to watch each game (well at least home games) with the expectation that we are going to win...independent of the opponent.

Is it me or are the RSL crowds becoming more vocal? We've always been good, but it seems as if Samba Gringa would always drown out the fans when watching online or TV. Thanks to fan efforts, many of these guys from BigSoccer, there is much more audible crowd sounds...many of those fan organized. Good job guys.

Olave is currently my favorite player to don the red, blue, and gold.

With this win ever RSL fan should have Bob Marley's Iron Lion Zion on repeat for the next week. Should we win in Chicago it should be played on every SLC sports radio station.

In other Scads' news the Family Scads in currently in Utah where we will be for the next 2 1/2 weeks. The Toronto FC game is on the "to-do" list for and I am planning on walking around some of the tailgating before hand. Though I feel I've been part of the RSL community for a long time now I've yet to ever meet any of you fine people face-to-face.

Also...who would I contact if I wanted to go see the stadium? It seems like a waste to travel from Iowa to Utah and not visit Mecca. I know my housing location makes it so I'm not a canidate for the season tickets or their personal tour, but I'd love to go see my new temple.

Well I need to go scoure the SLC area's TJ Maxx stores looking for affordable RSL jerseys, but I want to leave you with a quick...

...GO RSL!
